Foreword from the Editors
It is with great enthusiasm and responsibility that we present to you The Legacy Pulse, the official web magazine of the Association of Liberian Students in India (ALSI). As a pioneering initiative, this platform seeks to amplify the voices of Liberian students, showcase their academic and creative excellence, and document the journey of ALSI in advancing intellectual growth and community development.
The Legacy Pulse is more than just a magazine; it is a reflection of our collective aspirations, struggles, and triumphs. It serves as a space where students can express themselves through research, poetry, prose, autobiographies, tutorials, and stories of achievements. This initiative is driven by our unwavering commitment to amalgamating knowledge, culture, and advocacy within our student community.
As editors and leaders of ALSI’s Secretariat, we, Amb. Cletus A. Sieh Jr. and Gadriel Borbor Gargard, extend our heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, readers, and supporters of this noble vision. Your voices, your stories, and your insights are what make this publication meaningful. We encourage every Liberian student in India to actively participate in shaping The Legacy Pulse into a vibrant and dynamic resource for all.
Together, let us continue to write our history, celebrate our heritage, and leave a lasting impact.

"The world is very small and humanity needs a helping hand more than ever. Service is one of the many ways we pay our dues to humanity. Serve with your heart and you will be honoured with glory while your children walk with their heads held high. Service is a life style - do it right. ALSI shall be our home away from home." - Jones Luelah Flomo (FOA).

He is currently a senior student at the Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) with a specialization in Data Analyst, as well as Python programming. Jones Flomo has been in the leadership space for a little over 15 years, especially with underprivileged youth. In the area of youth development. Volunteerism has been his strength and driving force in service.
Jones' motivation to serve ALSI:
It was in August of 2021 that Jones travelled to India and met a group of Liberians who were passionate about identifying with each other in the diaspora. As he considered their efforts, he could only think outside the box; ALSI is the only place to impact the lives of young people who are fresh out of high school with little or no experience of the world out here, and without their parents. He felt like he was in a Don Bosco youth center all over, which is a joyful place to be. In addition, Abraham Varlee Kamara's energy pushed him forward. This guy is a visionary leader and his energy for unity is unmatched.
